Description

The Cressi Gara Impulse fins are the biggest revolution in freediving and spearfishing fins in recent decades, with unprecedented unanimous feedback from users of all profiles and physical conditions. The Gara foot pocket ribs, recalibrated to define their ideal angle, stiffness, and thickness, combined with the new blade designed with engineering systems to calculate the ideal curvature, angle, and thickness levels at each point of the blade, have led many to speak of significantly superior performance to many carbon-bladed fins. Available in black.

More information

New version with a high-modulus, highly reactive polypropylene blade and a new design with decreasing thickness (from 4 mm to 2 mm) and a new reinforcement distribution, which makes the camber very progressive, eliminating the tendency to skid, since the first half of the assembly is more rigid and the final half more flexible.

Blade with a 29° angle versus the traditional 21 to 23°. This angle allows for kicking with the foot in a completely relaxed position and makes kicking smooth and comfortable yet highly effective, both for surface travel and for overcoming situations of high forward resistance, such as ascending from the bottom, in heavy seas, or starting the descent with tight ballast.

The design of the blade's tail has a slight taper and two integrated ailerons made of thin thermoplastic rubber. This feature, combined with the calculated progression of the blade's flexion arc, makes the Impulse's flutter stability perfect.

New design of the foot pocket horns with reduced height to allow adaptation to blades of any angle, without interfering with the blade's reactivity and allowing for a greater arch.

The foot pocket volume is the result of in-depth anatomical studies, with volumes proportional to the widening effect caused by the boot depending on the foot size. It does not follow a fixed size-to-size ratio, since proportionally, a small foot "gains" much more than a large one when wearing booties.

It combines two materials:

A flexible yet inelastic and highly durable 75° Shore hardness thermoplastic rubber applied to the ribs, the entire sole of the foot pocket, and the exclusive support band on the instep designed to allow immediate force transmission without dissipating into rubbery compounds.

The rest of the foot pocket (gray area) maintains a semi-flexible 65° Shore hardness for optimal comfort. This material extends alternately to the heel area to provide a non-slip function when walking on a boat or on rocks.

The instep incorporates a 2 cm wide "Self-adjusting" band in its center, which allows for slight expansion (2 to 4 mm depending on size) to adapt to people with a high instep or when wearing thick booties. The expansion has been carefully calibrated to avoid compromising energy transmission.
